Job Description
As a Supported Housing Officer at Notting Hill Genesis, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to residents living in our supported housing accommodations. You will work closely with vulnerable individuals to ensure they have access to the resources and services they need to thrive and live independently.
You will be responsible for conducting needs assessments, developing support plans, and working collaboratively with external agencies to provide holistic care to residents. Your role will involve advocating for residents, helping them navigate services, and empowering them to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a Supported Housing Officer will include:
- Conducting needs assessments for residents and developing individual support plans
- Providing emotional support and practical assistance to residents in crisis situations
- Advocating for residents to ensure they receive the appropriate services and support
- Collaborating with external agencies, such as social services and healthcare providers, to coordinate care for residents
- Monitoring residents' progress and making adjustments to support plans as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all interactions with residents
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working in a similar support role, preferably within a housing setting
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of local support services and resources
