Job Title: Supported Housing Officer

Location: 35 Nickleby Road, Chelmsford, Essex, East Anglia, CM1 4US, United Kingdom

Duration: Temporary position from 20/07/2026 to 03/01/2027

Working Hours: 09:00:00 to 17:00:00

Hourly Rate: £18.76 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supported Housing Officer to join our team at Notting Hill Genesis. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to residents living in our supported housing schemes.

As a Supported Housing Officer, your main duties will include conducting regular welfare checks on residents, assisting with housing applications and allocations, and providing guidance on accessing support services. You will also be responsible for liaising with external agencies, such as social services and healthcare providers, to ensure residents receive the appropriate care and support they need.

Additionally, you will be required to maintain accurate records of resident interactions, monitor the safety and security of the housing scheme, and respond to any emergencies or incidents that may arise. You will need to have excellent communication skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working in a supported housing environment, knowledge of housing management procedures, and a passion for helping others. A relevant qualification in social work, housing management, or a related field is desirable but not essential.

You must be able to work under pressure, have good problem-solving skills, and be willing to work flexible hours as required. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is also preferred, as some travel to different housing schemes may be necessary.
